Living The Good Life: Meet Tyler Florence

Celebrity Chef Tyler Florence knows how to live the good life. As one of the featured chefs at the Eat, Play, Love event, Florence will bring food and fun to Encanterra, a Trilogy Country Club on February 9th. The Eat, Play, Love event is a day devoted to delicious desserts and a little romance, featuring gourmet food from food trucks, cooking demonstrations, wine and food sampling, and live music.

Currently the host of Food Network’s hit show, The Great Food Truck Race, Florence travels across the country hosting a reality show pitting the country’s top food trucks against each other. Renewed for its third season, Florence has learned a thing or two about food trucks, which will come in handy at Eat, Play, Love, featuring several top food trucks from the area.  Chef Florence is also the host of Food Network’s Tyler’s Ultimate, and has hosted Food911 and How to Boil Water, where he shares his cooking tips and recipes with viewers.

Chef Florence is the creative driving force behind three top restaurants in the country: Wayfare Tavern in San Francisco; Rotisserie & Wine in Napa County; and El Paseo in Mill Valley, California. In addition, he is an accomplished cookbook author, writing Family Meal, Dinner at My Place, Stirring the Pot, Tyler’s Ultimate: Brilliant Simple Food to Make Any Time; Eat This Book: Cooking with Global Fresh Flavors and Real Kitchen.

In Florence’s spare time, he serves on the board of Afterschool Alliance, a national non-profit that has a mission to “ensure that all children have access to affordable, quality afterschool programs.”
