Winemaking Club at TAV Announced!
Our new Home Winemaking Club of about 40 Members has harvested, crushed, pressed and filtered its very first vintage using grapes grown in the community! Currently our vineyards total 30 acres and feature 5 outstanding varietals: Syrah, Montepulciano, Petite Syrah, Anglianico and Mouvedre. Total production included 200 cases for Member use. The rest of the 24 tons of grapes were sold on the open market, a difficult thing as the bulk wine market has slowed considerably, and a good sign indicating our grapes’ excellent quality.
