Get in the mood for love with a fun-filled evening of wine, roses and general indulgence at Trilogy Central Coast’s Pre-Valentine’s Day Taste l’Amour on Thursday, February 11th, 2010 from 6 to 9pm. This free event is hosted by Trilogy Central Coast and will take place at The Monarch Club in the elegantly-appointed Avila Room at 1645 Trilogy Parkway in Nipomo.
Bring your sweetheart, your friends and your family and relax to the mellow sounds of live music by Acoustico while you peruse over 20 local vendors and artisans offering the most eclectic selection of goods, services and gourmet ever put together in the name of love!
Admission won’t cost you a dime, but bring your wallet anyway because you won’t be able to resist the treats we have in store for you!
This event exclusively features handcrafted goods produced here on the Central Coast. All vendors and wineries will offer their products for sample and sale. Treat yourself to complimentary wine tasting by Costa De Oro Winery, Per Bacco Cellars, Laetitia Winery, Cottonwood Canyon, Saucelito Canyon and other area vintners while you indulge your taste buds! Sample gourmet stuffed olives, olive oil, sauces, and chocolates from La Bella Olives, organic wild sage honey from The California Bee Company, one-of-a-kind sweets from Preferred Jams & Jellies, salsa tasting and tasty “gifts in a jar” by D & J Creations, live massage demonstrations as well as many other tantalizing treats.
Shop for Valentine’s Day gifts of freshly-cut flower arrangements and rose bouquets by Jackie King of Barefoot Gardens featuring locally-grown roses and specialty flowers from Eufloria Flowers, and be sure to purchase some Eco Waterbeads for your bouquets and potted plants to keep them watered and healthy for weeks! Pick out a matching jewelry set for you and your sweetheart from jewelry creators Tina Doherty, The Artistic Pony, or one of the other fine jewelry vendors, and spoil yourself with a luxurious bath sets, lotions and spa items from The Luffa Farm and The Soap Works.
Fine artist Lani Briceland will have pastel paintings on display as well as offer handmade textiles and twisted wire jewelry designs, and Rubella’s Royal Boudoir will be offering vintage women’s clothing from the 40’s, hand-beaded silk dresses, fine evening wear and all sorts of accessories and antique and modern home decor. Ahly Mueller of Grow Your Own will be offering a plant-your-own Spring Bulb Basket Buffet and also have live potted flower arrangements and unusual, mini succulent gardens for sale.
A three-tiered raffle will be held toward the end of the evening with unlimited chances to win and more gifts than a wedding reception! Each of the vendors will give away several gifts including wine baskets, tours, tasting tickets and gift certificates. You may purchase as many tickets as you like, at any or all of the three levels:
The Courtship Level, a $5 ticket, is for those who only like to flirt with chance. You may play it safe and stay at this level where there are multiple, smaller prizes to win, and a losing ticket will cause no heartbreak. Or, purchase tickets at the Engagement Level and show ‘em all that you’re no serial dater—the tickets are $5 more, but the rewards are greater. And for those who won’t suffer from cold feet, there’s the Marriage Level: the ultimate commitment! The tickets are another $5, but what’s $15 compared with a shot of the biggest prize at the top? As in life, there’s only one prize at the Marriage Level, so take the plunge and you could walk away the envy of all your friends with the grandest prize of them all!
