The Good Life Festival Presents Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo
Get ready to rock and roll with the first concert lineup of the 2012 Good Life Festival series. Trilogy is pleased to bring you Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo.
The legendary Pat Benatar arrived on the scene just before the 1980s, and quickly became one of the most iconic female rock singers of the decade. From her first hit single, “Heartbreaker,” in 1979, she climbed the charts and stayed on top. 1980 saw the release of Benatar’s signature song, “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” and that success catapulted her through hit after hit.
Though the last album she released, Go (her 12th album), was in 2003, and the previous album, Innamorata, was released in 1997, Benatar has toured every year since 1996.
Benatar’s husband, guitarist and producer Neil Giraldo, has been a distinctive presence with the band since 1983. His acclaim as a guitarist was cemented by the music video for the song “You Better Run,” which was the second video ever aired on MTV (the first MTV video didn’t feature a guitarist). Giraldo also composes and produces the bulk of Benatar’s work. He’s also produced for artists like Rick Springfield and Kenny Loggins.
Opening the show is popular singer-songwriter and rock icon Eddie Money.
